TOMÁŠ LINKA

Singer and wind accordion player Tomáš Linka has been performing on Czech and foreign country stages since 1969.

His unmistakable voice and excellent playing the wind accordion are still inseparably among the best that Czech country music currently presents and offers.
Tomáš Linka learned to play the accordion at the age of 10. At the age of 17, he became the bass player of the Pilsen big beat band Merkur. The turning point in his musical career came in 1968, when banjo player Marko Čermák was looking for an accordion player for his newly formed group White Stars. Ivan Mládek was one of his teammates in this band at the beginning. Over the years, Tomáš Linka went through many well-known Czech country bands:
