Ranky Tanky, from South Carolina, USA is inspired by the Gullah community and  combines West African with American soul music traditions. The band’s name means “to get funky”  in Gullah. For their album, "Good Time," Ranky Tanky was awarded a Grammy for  the Best Regional Roots Music Album category in 2020. They are passionate global ambassadors for the African American music of the coastal South.
