RUCKER-WIESINGER-KOENIG is a recently formed project whose members show the
range of current Austrian "jazz" in very different ways. In this trio, however, it quickly
becomes clear that it is less about exploring an "aesthetic" chosen as unifying, but
rather about a certain attitude, about a certain way of making music. "Keeping an open
mind and not losing oneself in the process, pushing boundaries and growing in the
process", - this is exactly what this formation gathered for the first time for the concert at
the Alte Schmiede in Vienna shortly before Lockdown in March. Since then, they have
been facing each other again and again to take a stance, to find something out, to
sharpen opinions, to express what is their own and stubborn and to search for what they
have in common.
