Composer/pianist Kathrine Windfeld has quickly established herself as one of the most exciting
and refreshing new European jazz composers and arrangers. With five albums of original music for big band and sextet, she is widely respected as “one of the most interesting and original creators in  jazz today.” Culture Jazz (F)
Kathrine Windfeld recently won a Danish Music Awards Jazz as “Live Act Of The Year 2024” and
was further nominated “Composer of the year”.
Besides touring with her own ensembles, Windfeld is an in-demand guest composer.
She has performed with top-class orchestras like Frankfurt Radio Big Band (DE), Cologne
Contemporary Jazz Orchestra (DE) Bohuslän Big Band (SE), Espinho Jazz Orchestra (PT) and
UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra (FI).
