Bohemia JazzFest JazzPrix!

Take part in the 2015 Bohemia JazzFest Competition JazzPrix!

Musicians residing in the Czech Republic and under 35 years of age, are invited to apply to Bohemia JazzFest Competition JazzPrix 2015. 

All types of jazz and all sizes of groups - including duos and or solo acts are welcome. The jury will be looking for the most musical and original performer or group who will demonstrate understanding of the jazz tradition and improvisation. 

Only groups that declare to be available for performing  at the Bohemia JazzFest July 9  are permitted to participate in the competition. 

The winning group/performer will receive:

1. Perform at the Bohemia JazzFest 2015 on July 9 
2. Professionally recorded and filmed DVD from the concert
3. Presentation on the BJF website and Facebook 
4. Presentation in BJF newspaper/ magazine
5. 25 000 Kc in prize money

The submission: 

1. Email a "We Transfer" file with a maximum of 2 pieces (total duration up to 12 minutes) to info@bohemiajazzfest.cz
2. Email a digital biography (max 1 A4) and a clear digital photo (of Max. 1 MB in size) + the names of the musicians and composers of the submitted compositions + the contacts of the groups representative.
3. All items listed under 1 and 2 should be provided ultimately on April 30, 2015. 

A jury of experts (consisting of musicians, programmers, journalists etc.) will evaluate the entries ' blindfolded ', so exclusively on the submitted recordings and without being informed about the identity of the groups and musicians. The jury selects  3 groups that will participate in the Finals.
